Proposed Objectives of GeoIslam.org
Bismillah-hir-rahmaan-nir-raheem
In the name of Allah Almighty most gracious and merciful

The following modules will overview of the assumed objectives with sub-questions of the works, views and scholarly analysis on specified branches of different subjects published by website.
Module-I
1. Defining the term Ilm & Knowledge (philosophically) with levels & branches in the context of epistemology. What are the degrees of religious knowledge (Deeni) and experimental scientific knowledge (dunyawi)?
What is Ilm and knowledge in traditional and modern paradigms?
What are the classifications of ilm and knowledge according to Islamic & contrary scholars respectively?
Which knowledge is greater in different aspects with arguments?
What is the importance of knowledge of Science in Islam?
To determine the degree of religious knowledge that is greater to other branches of knowledge?   
2. To study of legitimacy of scientific knowledge in the practicing Muslim Lives.
How much have Muslims perceive science as modern & trusty knowledge?
3. Differentiate between traditional (formal) madrassa Islamic education and modern school education from past to present.
What is meant by term Madrassa (in historical and modern perspective?
When and how madrassa system was started?
In the historical context what were the levels of methods of formal Islamic teachings in Islamic and other regions.
What nature of curriculum of Islamic madarassas had been taught, especially institutions in Baghdad, Bukhara, isphahan, Tunis, Spain, Cairo, Delhi, Lahore, Makah, Medina…etc?
Which type of contents of modern subjects like medicine, Physics, astronomy and history etc. at those times had used to teach along with typical Islamic teachings in those institutions?
How did school Education start in non-Islamic counties and how it transformed/replaced to madrassa education in Islamic countries?
What were the causes of starting school education against typical religious education in Muslim population especially in subcontinent, Africa and Middle East?
A comprehensive comparative analysis about role of school and madrassa systems in making progressive & modern Islamic states today?
Overview the areas where both systems need to be focus.
Can both systems emerge in each other? i.e. School can be emerge in madrassa and vice-versa.
Module-II
This section will cover the followings:
 
1. Understanding the Sectarianism or firqawariat. Is sectarianism a product of spontaneous intellectual evolution of Muslims or there are conspiracy theories behind it. What are the causes of sectarianism?
Defining sectarianism
Sectarianism in other religions and societies?
 Is sectarianism associated with only religions?
How can we differentiate religious sectarianism from political/ethnic/geographical groups?
 Short overview, history and nature of different schools of thought (so-called sects) in Islam
 Sectarianism is the obvious and unstoppable phenomenon of the modern age due to certain factors?
 variety of different schools within Islam is the blessing of God (in the light of famous hadith Ikhtalaf ummah rehma)
Is the creation of sects in Islam in the result of conspiracy of anti-Islamic groups and powers? (masses opine that every group blame one another that deoband, berelvi, wahabi and shias are the products of foreigners)
Defining deviant groups in Islam
Does Sectarianism in Islam only associate with typical religious believes or it has broader view?
 
2. How had sectarian tenets contributed in showing the bad image of Islam and is there any chances to undo if yes, then how we can do it? (Tentative)
What are the prospects of Ittihad bain-al-Muslimeen?

 
Module-III
With the deep understanding of better Ilm and sectarianism we need to understand the contemporary dialogue as follow:
 
1. The scientific development, discussing modernity and ideal understanding of modern trends in the light of Islam particularly those Muslim scholars, scientists and thinkers of earlier generations and the contemporary world which are doing works under Islamic spirit.
At what degree the science has developed the world in material progress (a short comprehensive scenario)?
How can we define modernity in both Islamic and secular views? 
 
2. Try to pursue the scientific works of the Muslims with geographic locations which they had written and recognized along with experimentation's in ever history of Islamic civilization.
a list of known subjects & disciplines in within both science with technology and social sciences in early age. (a timeline)
a list of know scientists, thinkers and Muslim scholars with their areas of expertise (a timeline)
try to find the experiences of Muslim scientists during their specific discoveries and experiences (biographies)
     
3. Discussing motives, inspirations and sociological backgrounds of Muslim: 
What were the motivations for Muslim Scholars at that time?
was there any other aspect/causes for researching on their interests 
who were their role models and why
Their cultural backgrounds and family short history.
  
4. Explanation of the facts of provided financial support during time of their observation and experimentation. (Tentative)
Did Muslim scientists had financial support from government or someone.
 
5. Islam and science never contradict with each other and reality tells that Science is facilitating Islam to empower it more.
Essay 
  
6. what is the relation between Natural sciences and social sciences? Moreover how both sciences can be integrated with each other in Islamic context in order to get an ideal Muslim society?
 What are natural sciences and its branches?
What are social sciences and humanities?
What is relation between two sciences?
Defining an ideal Muslim Society?
Are both sciences compulsory for a Muslim or whole Muslim ummah?
 
7. Is it the fact that without accurate understanding and integration of science, the Muslims cannot be recognized as in past?
Re-estimating and exploration the periods of generation of the climax of the Islamic civilization
 
8. Sharing of similar type of works done by fellows and websites with reference and permission.
  
9. Providing dais to intellectual groups particularly college and universities and Jamia students, teachers and educationists for their research, courses and other academic purposes.

Providing the vast media coverage

Module-IV
This general Module will cover the 25% others subjects such as comparative religions, Islamic history, Fiqh sciences, Dawat-o-Irshad and Tasawwuf/Islamic Spirituality/Sufism. 
Note:
In Maratib’s Blog, I’ll share my views and research in context of above mentioned discussion will continue INSHALLAH until we feel comprehensive guidance HADAYA from Allah almighty.
Proposed Project lists:
We have a few plans to establish not-for-profit organization (NGO) working on earlier discussed points in addition to the following projects:
Setup the publishing recognition in form of series of articles and books.
Design a curriculum for an ideal Muslim school system for different age-level students and keeping an eye on mental level of Muslim Students in the Islamic perspective of Philosophical, psychological and sociological foundations.
Broadcast a Muslim education based Satellite Television channel.
